Edward Johnson, 59, of Sumner Avenue, Washington, died Thursday, August 27, 1998, in Washington Hospital, following a lengthy illness. He was employed for many years as a horse groomer at the The Meadows Racetrack. Mr. Johnson enjoyed photography, crossword puzzles and fishing. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force. Surviving are his former wife, Barbara Ann Coleman of Washington; a son, Aaron Williams of Washington; a stepson, John Williams Jr.of Washington; a stepdaughter, Rhee Ellis of Washington; a sister, Sonja Bailey of Washington; a grandchild; five stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
