Helen S. McWreath, 77, of Pinehurst, N.C., formerly of Washington, died Friday, August 28, 1998, in Duke University Hospital, Durham, N.C. Mrs. McWreath was a former member of Church of the Covenant in Washington and was a homemaker. She was a member of Pinehurst County Club and a former member of Lone Pine Nemacolin Country Club, as well as William's Country Club in Weirton. While in Washington, she was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of Washington Hospital. On December 6, 1973, in Fredericksburg, Va., she married David R. McWreath, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert C. McBride of Sherborn, Mass.; three daughters, Karen Lundin of Milford, Mich., Darlene Havelka of Washington and Deborah McWreath of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, Howard Schreiber of Elmhurst, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.
