Mary Chalfa Yatchum, 74, of 307 E. McMurray Road, McMurray, died at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 1998, in her home. Mrs. Yatchum had lived since 1957 in McMurray, where she had been a charter member of St. Benedict the Abbot Church and was a 50-year member of Slovak Jednota. During World War II, she worked at Neville Island and for many years had been employed at the former R. L. Schriver Music Store in Canonsburg. On March 3, 1951, she married Joseph W. Yatchum, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mary Jo Lenarz of Finleyville and Michelle Bruce of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Julia, Jeremy and Amanda Lenarz; and several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. Deceased are three brothers, Mike, John and Joe Chalfa; and two sisters, Helen Radinsky and Ann Regrut.
