Elsie Argenta Danek, 96, of Joffre, died Friday, August 28, 1998, in Washington County Health Center, Washington. Mrs. Danek operated Danek Grocery Store for more than 55 years until it closed in 1993. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church of Burgettstown and the Raccoon Society of Joffre. Surviving are a daughter, Andrea D. Wisenauer of Sterling, Va.; a son, George Danek of Pleson, Calif.; a granddaughter, Ensign Kelli Danek; a grandson, Brett Danek; and a sister, Fife Zelenko of Slovan.
