Charles C. Shipley, 80, of Adlin Avenue, Houston, died Saturday, August 29, 1998, in the Allegheny University Hospital-Canonsburg. For 28 years, Mr. Shipley worked as an engineer for the Pennsylvania Railroad, retiring in 1980. He then owned and operated Tropic Breeze Apartments in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Fla., for 15 years, before moving back to Pennsylvania. On September 16, 1963, he married Helen Kuznicki, who survives. Also surviving are a grandson, Scott Shepard; and a great-granddaughter, Gretchen Shepard. A brother, Glenn Shipley, is deceased.
