Marie I. Barnes, 75, of Cecil, died Monday, August 3, 1998, in Allegheny University Hospital-Canonsburg. Mrs. Barnes was a homemaker and a member of Cecil Alliance Church. On November 20, 1942, she married Robert H. Barnes, who survives. The couple had celebrated 56 years of marriage. Also surviving are a daughter, Kathleen Krek of Houston; a son, Robert A. Barnes of Canonsburg; a sister, Kathleen Ranegar of Cleveland, Ohio; four grandchildren, Donald R. and Jason A. Krek, Carey L. and Allen R. Barnes. Deceased is a daughter, Eileen A. Barnes.
