John William Rodgers, 88, formerly of Brownsville and New Castle, died Tuesday, December 8, 1998, in the home of his daughter in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Rodgers worked for Titanium Metals and the Pennsylvania-Erie Railroad. He was a former member of St. Peter's Church in Brownsville and Knights of Columbus Council 512 of New Castle. Surviving are two daughters, Jane Kelch of Cape Coral, Fla., and Ann Traball of San Antonio; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Deceased are his wife, Trissa Shipley Rodgers, who died July 26, 1995; a son, John Howard Rodgers; three brothers, Joe, Henry and Bernard Rodgers; and three sisters, Agnes Keffer, Mary Dillon and Jennie Sanderson.
