Matilda M. Lowe, 84, of 1510 Neil Avenue, St. Marys, Ohio, formerly of Albuquerque, N.M., and Waukegan, Ill., died at 9:57 a.m. Tuesday, December 8, 1998, in Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness.

She was born November 1, 1914, in Walker's Mill, a daughter of Peter and Mary Koneski.
She retired from Abbott Laboratories Co. in North Chicago, Ill., after 28 years of service.
Mrs. Lowe was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys and was a former member of Assumption Catholic Church in Albuquerque and St. Anastacia Catholic Church in Waukegan.
On January 28, 1950, she married Edmond Lowe, who died in 1990.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda Moore of St. Marys; three grandchildren, Carolyn, Ethan and Lisa Moore; and a brother, Joseph Koneski of Houston.
In addition to her husband, a sister, Mary Sandifer, is deceased.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, December 12, in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys, by the Rev. David Heinl. A Christian burial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, in the chapel of Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Albuquerque. Arrangements were handled by Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys.
