Dwight D. Young, 87, of 3261 Alexander Road, Atwater, Ohio, formerly of Greene County, died at 5:30 a.m. Friday, December 11, 1998, in Hospice Care Center, Akron, Ohio. He worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. as a carpenter supervisor before retiring in 1976. Since Mr. Young's health began to decline, he had been cared for by Heather Knoll Nursing Home and Hospice Care Center, Ridgewood Road, Akron. Mr. Young was married twice. His first wife, Doris Hilverding Young, died May 14, 1955. His second wife, Beverly Counterman Young, whom he married June 18, 1972, survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Doris Shank of Akron and Dawna Pitzer of Rochester; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Sarah Kubis of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and a brother, Edwin E.
