Mary E. Brooks, 59, of Elmira Street, Monongahela, died Sunday, December 13, 1998, in Haven Crest Nursing Home, Monongahela. Mrs. Brooks was a lifelong resident of the Monongahela area and was a 1957 graduate of Monongahela High School. She attended Assembly of God Church of Bentleyville and was formerly employed at Lawson's Nursing Home in West Mifflin. On December 1, 1961, she married James A. Brooks, with whom she recently celebrated 37 years of marriage. In addition to her mother and husband, surviving are four sons, James E. Brooks of Monongahela, Douglas C. Brooks of Donora, and Duane E. and Dennis M. Brooks, both at home; a daughter, Ruth Grace of West Mifflin; 10 grandchildren; and two brothers, James Pigford of Freemont, Mich., and Dennis Pigford of Eighty Four.
