Darlene A. Pleska Boyd, 45, of Cranberry Township, died at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 1998, from injuries she suffered when she was hit by a car while crossing Route 19 in Cranberry Township. Mrs. Boyd was employed as a secretary for U.S. Steel Corp.'s UEC Division for the past 24 years. She was United Methodist and attended Eldersville United Methodist Church. On June 20, 1997, she married James David Boyd, who survives. Surviving are two sisters, Zenaide M. Karlsberg of Denver, Colo., and Donna K. Caffardo of Avella; a brother, Nick C. She was born March 29, 1953, in Pittsburgh, a daughter Nick Pleska of Avella, and Zenaide M. Coleman Pleska, who died August 21, 1991.
