Vonda Ross, 81, of Fairmont, W.Va., died Wednesday, December 16, 1998, in Fairmont General Hospital. Mrs. Ross was a homemaker. In 1983, she retired from the West Virginia Department of Human Services, Marion County office, after working 10 years as an economic service worker. On June 8, 1936, she married Lawrence Porter Ross, who died May 5, 1974. Surviving are three daughters, Carla Kelley of Rices Landing, Charlotte Diane Blackshire and Pattie Augustus, both of Fairmont; two brothers, William Husk of Jacksonville, Fla., and Donald Husk of Tallmadge, Ohio; two sisters, Bonnie Bennett of Idamay, W.Va., and Eloise Heckard of Stow, Ohio; five grandchildren, Michael Dohanich, John Francis Blackshire III, Joey and Scott Blackshire and Tom Augustus II; two great-granddaughters; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, Ronald and Carl Husk; and three sisters, Wanda Skinner, Freda Wolfe and Vonna Ingram.
