Ruth Phillips, 70, of Waynesburg R.D.2, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 1998, at home, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Phillips lived her entire life in Greene County, where she was a homemaker. She was a member of Green Valley Presbyterian Church in Carmichaels. On December 12, 1953, she married Francis Phillips, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Darlene Phillips of Rogersville and Carol Stuchell of Independence, W.Va.; a granddaughter, Jennifer Alvarado; two grandsons, Cody and Colton Stuchell; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Margaret Gump of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.
