George Mulder, 87, of Grand Rapids, Mich., died Monday, December 21, 1998, in Washington. Mr. Mulder was a businessman who held numerous managerial positions at American Seating Co. in Grand Rapids and for eight years was vice president at F.H. Sheldon Co. in Muskegon, Mich. Surviving are two daughters, Judith VanderWilt of Sarasota, Fla., and Kathleen Parker of Waynesburg; two sons, George Mulder of St. Joseph, Mo., and David Mulder of Chicago, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was a lifelong resident of Grand Rapids and an active member of Rememberance Reformed Church, where he served for more than 40 years in leadership roles as vice president of consistory, teacher and Sunday school superintendent. He also was a leader of Christian Endeavor at area Reformed Churches in western Michigan.
