Michael Joseph (Mike) Daugherty Sr., 82, of Shamrock, died Sunday, December 27, 1998, after a long illness. Mr. Daugherty retired from Uniontown Builder's Supply Co. in 1979. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater and taking part in the D-Day invasion of Normandy. He was a member of Teamsters Local 491, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 47 and the S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. (barbershop quartet). Surviving are his wife, Joan Nagy Daugherty; one daughter, Nancy Krepps of Washington; two sons, Michael J. Daugherty Jr. of Uniontown and Patrick Daugherty of Shamrock; and three grandsons, Eric and Neal Krepps and Michael Daugherty III.
