Mildred C'unko Rupcich, 84, of Ellsworth, died Monday, December 28, 1998, in Monongahela Valley Hospital. Mrs. Rupcich was a member of Ave Maria Parish and Jednota. She was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening and baking, and once worked for the former Robson Bakery in Charleroi. She also worked for Resnicks Cleaners in Washington. Surviving are five daughters, Mildred A. Zilka of Monessen, Barbara Gibbs of Ellsworth, Nancy K. Jones of Lake Mary, Fla., and Rita A. Shaughnessy and Bernadene C. Rupcich, both of Pittsburgh; seven grandchildren, Bernadette Vehec, Robbie, Tim and Matt Jones, Laural Gibbs and Valerie and Charlie Shaughnessy; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. Deceased are her husband, Matthew J. Rupcich, who died March 15, 1978; three sisters, Josephine Bradica, Mary Stanish and Catherine, who died in infancy; and a brother, Peter C'unko.
