Ernest Howard Bahn, 73, of West Alexander, formerly of Texas, died Wednesday, December 23, 1998, in Heartland-Lansing Nursing Home, Bridgeport, Ohio. Mr. Bahn was a member of the First Christian Church, West Alexander. He was a coal miner for Valley Camp Coal Co. until his retirement. Mr. Bahn enjoyed woodworking and fishing. On June 8, 1956, he married Bertha Ellen Taylor, who died September 6, 1998. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Marie Haught of Independence, Ky., and Hilda Emma Pattison of West Alexander; four sisters, Pearl Johnson, Ellen Wallace, Mildred Black and Dorothy Riley, all of Pleasanton; eight grandchildren, Glenn Michael, Pamela Sue and Richard Howard Pattison and Amy, Christina, Katie, Rachael and Elizabeth Haught; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Also deceased are three brothers, Louis, Alfred and Walter Bahn; and two sisters, Clara May and Louise Morbey.
