Florence Gertrude "Peg" Cage, 93, of Waynesburg R.D.2, died at 3:15 a.m. Saturday, December 26, 1998, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg. Mrs. Cage lived her early life in Derby, and from 1911 to 1946, she lived in Cheltenham, England. She moved to Waynesburg in 1946. She was a member of the Washington Street United Methodist Church of Waynesburg. While in England, she worked as a secretary at the American War Office during World War II. She later worked as a secretary for the Ministry of Pensions until 1946. Mrs. Cage was a member of the James Farrell American Legion Post 330 auxiliary for 50 years. On August 25, 1943, she married Harry E. Cage, who died December 6, 1988. She was the last of her immediate family. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation, and services will be held at the convenience of the family.
