Karen F. King, 44, of 820 North Liberty Street, Waynesburg, died of cancer Sunday, December 27, 1998, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. King earned a bachelor of science degree in education from Waynesburg College in 1990. She was valedictorian of her class. She worked at Morgantown Day School and was a long-term substitute teacher in Central Greene School District. Mrs. King was co-owner of Specialty Herbal Products in Waynesburg. She was a member of Jefferson Baptist Church and was a volunteer at Greene County Humane Society, where she served as a humane officer. She enjoyed riding and showing horses and was an avid flower gardener. On March 26, 1986, she married Brian J. King, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Bess Moriah King and Rhetta Elizabeth King; and a sister, Debbie Rittenhouse of Vanderbilt R.D.1.
