Susan A. "Queenie" Rankin, 40, of Carmichaels R.D.2, died Saturday, December 26, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Rankin resided in the Carmichaels area since 1975 and was a former member of American Trap Shooters Association and Stringtown Gun Club. Her husband, John Edward Rankin, whom she married March 10, 1983, died March 2, 1997. Surviving are four sons, Richard W. Rankin of Smithfield, Jeremie J., Heath A. and John E. Rankin Jr., all at home; two daughters, Heather L. Rankin of Carmichaels and Trina D. Rankin, at home; three stepsons, Donald R., John L. II and Robert R. Rankin, all of Carmichaels; three stepdaughters, Mary V. Rankin of Wheeling, W.Va., and Connie L. Durbin and Leila A. Rankin, both of Carmichaels; 11 grandchildren; five brothers, Charles W. Cunningham of Waynesboro, Joseph F. Cunningham of Nemacolin, John Cunningham of Beaver Falls, Steve Cunningham of Oklahoma and Edward Cunningham of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Margaret Cunningham of New York and Madeline Baker of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
