Jack E. Day, 68, of Kent, Ohio, formerly of Greene County, died Wednesday, December 2, 1998, in Hospice Care Center, Copley, Ohio. He had lived in Ohio since 1969. Mr. Day was was a millwright at General Motors Terex Plant in Hudson, Ohio, and was a member of United Auto Workers of America. He was in the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Ohio. He was a past member and past president of Clarksville Volunteer Fire Company. Mr. Day was Protestant. On March 19, 1949, he married Ruth Moore Day, who died November 10, 1995. Surviving are a son, Jack W. Day of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Billie Kuhns of Kingwood, W.Va., and Eileen Booze of Waynesburg; and three brothers, James Day of Walston, Robert Day of Walston and Darrell Day of Clarksville. Deceased are a daughter, Ruth Ann Hively; an infant brother and twin siblings, Dorothy L. and Donald E. Day; and a sister, Naomi Day.
