Mary Lou Goroncy, 71, of Scenery Hill, died Wednesday, December 30, 1998, at her home. Mrs. Goroncy was a lifetime resident of the Scenery Hill area, where she was a longtime member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and a member of its Ladies Aid Society. She was a 1945 graduate of Ellsworth High School. Mrs. Goroncy was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting. On January 5, 1951, she married Frank Goroncy, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Cathy Goroncy of Pittsburgh, Susan Lisovich and Paula Bendik, both of Cokeburg; three sons, Steven Goroncy of Scenery Hill, Edward Goroncy of Eighty Four and Richard Goroncy of Prosperity; two sisters, Grace Aleen Clarke of the state of California and Helen Vivian McCracken of Scenery Hill; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
