V. Marie Sigwalt, 83, of Hilltop Acres Road, Washington, died Wednesday, December 30, 1998, in Presbyterian Medical Center, Washington, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Sigwalt was a homemaker, a member of First Christian Church in Republic and a member of Martha V. Paul Chapter 404, Order of Eastern Star. On July 3, 1935, she married Andrew Thompson Sigwalt, who died in 1975. Surviving are a son, Ronald Andrew Sigwalt of Olney, Md.; a daughter, Andrea L. Franks of Washington, with whom she made her home; three brothers, Clarence Barber of Ralph, Herbert and Robert Barber, both of Uniontown; four sisters, Dorothy Liggett of Sewickley, Edna Shanaberger and Violet Barber, both of Ralph, and Gertrude Gallie of Uniontown; five grandchildren, Scott and Eric Sigwalt, Kelley Benson and Kevin and Keith Franks; and five great-grandchildren.
