James P. Ricker, 55, of Midtown, Tenn., formerly of Washington, died Monday, November 30, 1998, in Oak Ridge, Tenn., following a lengthy illness. Mr. Ricker had resided in Tennessee for the past 20 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oak Ridge, and attended Trinity High School. Mr. Ricker was a former employee of Ohio Power and was employed for a short time in the copper mines in Colorado prior to moving to Tennessee, where he was last employed as a laborer with Boilermakers Union 453 in Kingston, Tenn. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 3429, Midtown, and had served with the Air National Guard in Washington. Surviving are his wife, Barbara J. Timko; a son, David J. Ricker of Rockwood, Fla.; a daughter, Barbara J. Morgan of Midtown; five brothers, August J. Ricker of Santa Maria, Calif., Frederick Ricker of Washington, Robert L. Ricker of Prosperity, Thomas "Pete" Ricker of Wheeling, and Richard W. Ricker of Loxahatchee, Fla.; four sisters, Dorothy A. Ankrom of Washington, Clara A. Kleinhans of Prosperity, Mary L. Moore and Helen M. Whiteman, both of Claysville; and three grandchildren, Ashley and Kody Morgan, and Shelby Ricker. Services were held in Kingston, with burial in Roane Memorial Gardens in Midtown.
