Dorothy G. Skaine, 89, of Seventh Avenue, New Eagle, died Thursday, December 3, 1998, in the Greenery Rehabilitation Center, Canonsburg. Mrs. Skaine was a member of First Baptist Church of Monongahela since 1922, and was recently honored as the second-longest member of the church. She formerly was employed by Book's Shoe Stores and managed its Donora location. Surviving are her husband, Richard Skaine, with whom she celebrated 46 years of marriage on February 5, 1998; a daughter, Katherine Petronka of Port Charlotte, Fla.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a brother, Fred Louttit of Port Charlotte; and a sister, Pearl Paden of Detroit, Mich. Deceased are a daughter, Betty Jane Vedder, who died May 15, 1975; her first husband, Arthur C. Dishart, who died in 1945; a brother, Eugene Louttit; a sister, Elizabeth Paden; her stepfather, Hiram Gregg; and two half brothers, Hiram and Bill Gregg.
