The Rev. Raymond A. Cercone, 74, of Coraopolis, died Thursday, December 3, 1998. Father Cercone studied at Coraopolis public schools, Duquesne University, St. John Seminary in Little Rock, Ark., and St. Vincent Seminary, Latrobe. He was ordained June 13, 1948, in St. Vincent Archabbey by Bishop Boyle. Between 1948 and 1972, he served at parishes in Bloomfield, Carnegie, Beechview, Hillsville and Brookline and from 1972 until 1988 served at St. Patrick's in Canonsburg. He was chaplain of the Sisters of Divine Redeemer, Elizabeth, from 1988 to 1990, and was in residence there when he retired. Surviving is a sister, Jeannine Margiotta of Long Island, N.Y.
