Veronica Butella, 95, of the Thomas Campbell Apartments, Washington, died Friday, December 4, 1998, in Humbert Lane Health Care Center, Washington. In her earlier years, she was employed as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone in Pittsburgh. She was later employed as a sales clerk in various dress shops in Washington. Since 1934, Mrs. Butella was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and was a member of its Christian Mothers. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting. In January of 1928, she married Frank Butella, who died December 6, 1972. Surviving are a daughter, Vivian Francis Butella Becky of South Fayette Township; four grandchildren, Deborah Ann Holloway and Jeffrey, Gregg and Lee Edward Becky; two great-grandchildren; and two nieces and two nephews. Deceased are a daughter, Marjorie Butella; a brother, George Lance; and two sisters, Mary Musial and Ann Saxon.
