Faye Mitchell Smith, 62, of 350 Hart Avenue, Washington, died unexpectedly Thursday, December 3, 1998, in Washington Hospital. Mrs. Smith was employed as a nursing assistant for 25 years at Washington Hospital and was a member of Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Local 1199 P/SEI and held office for many years. She was active in the local labor council. On April 9, 1994, she married Robert Smith, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Danny Mitchell of Erie, Richard Mitchell of Ephrata and William Mitchell of Bentleyville; two daughters, Kathy McFall of Eighty Four and Myra Bertrand of Mecomb, Mich.; three stepsons, Robert Smith Jr. of Canonsburg, Steven Smith of Washington and Bradley Smith of Carnegie; a stepdaughter, Tammy Sullivan of Monongahela; 21 grandchildren; two brothers, Harry Ealy of Oxnard, Calif., and Ronald Stollar of Gettysburg; and a sister, Cheryl Verner of Washington.
