Ann F. Adams, 76, of Crest Avenue, Washington, died unexpectedly at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, December 6, 1998, in Washington Hospital.

She was born October 3, 1922, in Washington, a daughter of Michael and Mary Ann Kerin Adams.
Miss Adams was a payroll supervisor for more than 32 years for Reliance Co., Washington, retiring in 1987.
She was a 1940 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School, Washington.
Miss Adams was an active member of Immaculate Conception Church, where she served as lector/commentator while her health permitted. She was a charter member and first regent of Washington Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and she had served as second vice regent of the Pennsylvania State Court of the Catholic Daughters until her resignation caused by her health.
She held the office of state president of Business and Professional Women and many other state offices. Miss Adams was president of the Washington Chapter of BPW and had also served as district director of District 12. Miss Adams held membership in the Catholic Business and Professional Women of Pittsburgh, the Gaelic Arts Society of Pittsburgh, Current Events Club and Symphony South. She served on board of the American Heart Association.
She enjoyed playing bridge, as she had done with the same club for 52 years. She enjoyed professional sports and had held Pittsburgh Steeler season tickets for 40 years. She also enjoyed carpentry.
Surviving are two sisters, Mary Agnes Adams and Margaret Adams, both of Washington; a nephew, Bill Palfreyman of Washington; a niece, Molly Palfreyman of Canonsburg; three great-nieces and two great-nephews.
Deceased are a sister, Catherine A. Palfreyman; a brother, Michael J. Adams, who died in infancy; and twin sisters, Katherine Rita and Mary Agnes Adams, who died in infancy.
