Winifred (Freddie) Hoy of Waynesburg R.D.1 died at 5:56 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 1998, in Washington Hospital. Mrs. Hoy spent most of her life in Greene County and attended Mather Christian Church. She had worked for Jesse Ross Drug Store for several years and later worked as a secretary for Dr. Birch for 16 years. Her husband, John S. Hoy, died October 11, 1978. Surviving are a stepdaughter, Sally Summersgill of Waynesburg; a stepson, John D. Hoy of Waynesburg; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert L. Rush of Wilcox. A brother, H. Clarence Rush, and two sisters, Eva I. Grimm and Marie McMasters, are deceased. There will be no public visitation, and services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg.
