Donald V. Brookins, 86, of McDonald, died Monday, December 7, 1998, in Allegheny University Hospital-Canonsburg. Mr. Brookins was a graduate of Fifth Avenue High School in Pittsburgh, and worked for LTV Steel in Aliquippa. He was a member of McDonald Lions Club, IBPOE of W Elks Club in Canonsburg and the Lincoln Star Lodge 71 of Ambridge. On December 3, 1934, he married Marjorie Lewis, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Harvey D. Brookins of Detroit, Mich; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a niece and two nephews.
