Diamond Cordisco, 85, of Bentleyville, died at 7:35 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 1998, in St. Francis Central Hospital, Pittsburgh. Mr. Cordisco retired as a coal miner with Bethlehem Mines Corp., Mine 51 in Ellsworth. He was a member of Ave Maria Parish, St. Luke's Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Independent Club, all in Bentleyville. He also belonged to Bentleyville Senior Citizens, United Mine Workers of America Local 1197, Italian Sons & Daughters of America in McKeesport, and he was past president of Finleyville Golden Agers. He also was a member, past president and relief director of the Bentleyville Volunteer Fire Department, and a member of the Ellsworth Fire Department. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Cordisco; a son, Larry Cordisco of McMurray; a granddaughter, Lisa Lynn Cordisco; a brother, Albert Cordisco of Bentleyville; and a sister, Florian D'Alosio of Italy.
