Charles G. Schaum, 65, of North Ridgeville, Ohio, died Friday, February 6, 1998, in Thorpes Personal Care Home, Charleroi. Mr. Schaum formerly lived in Charleroi and Monongahela and was Catholic. He was a 1950 graduate of Charleroi High School, was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and a member of VFW Post 9871 of North Ridgeville, Ohio. He was retired from Elyria Foundry and was formerly employed at Combustion Engineering of East Monongahela. Surviving are two sons, Charles Schaum of Monongahela and Victor Schaum of North Ridgeville, Ohio; a daughter, Michelle Day; a brother, John Schaum of Charleroi; and four grandchildren, Stephani and Jaclyn Day and Chuckie and Christopher Schaum.
