Robert James Seibel, 82, of Caldwell Avenue, Washington, died at 4 a.m. Monday, February 9, 1998, in his home, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Seibel was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Washington. He had been employed by Hazel Atlas Plant No. 2 and was also employed by Penn Cable. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army in the 1262nd Service Command. On April 30, 1937, he married Geraldine Virginia Grove, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Lois Ruffner of Naples, Fla., Barbara Waychoff of Washington and Sandra Tustin of Canonsburg; a sister, Mildred Roupe of Washington; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Deceased are three brothers, John, Albert and Joseph Seibel; and two sisters, Marie Marchicak and Rose Reilley. He was born April 30, 1915, in Canton Township, a son of Anthony and Rose Miller Seibel.
