Christine Ahacic, 86, of Strabane, died at 10:24 a.m. Sunday, February 8, 1998, in Allegheny University Hospitals, Canonsburg, following a lengthy illness. Ms. Ahacic lived most her life in Strabane, where she was a member of SNPJ Lodge 138. She served in the U.S. Army from 1943-46 in World War II. For 28 years, she was employed by RCA in Canonsburg and Meadow Lands, until her retirement in 1976. Surviving are five sisters, Mary Bizzack of Penn Hills, Louise Ahacic of Orlando, Fla., Julia Tapper of Monroeville, Anne Hoskinson of Costa Mesa, Calif., and Frances Johnston of Grove City, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
