John "Chubby" Davis, 72, of Hazel Street, Bentleyville, died Wednesday, February 11, 1998, in Mon Valley Hospital. Mr. Davis attended Bentleyville High School and once worked as a bartender for the Independent Club and former Abbadini's, both of Bentleyville. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Marine Corps as a corporal. He was Syrian Orthodox and a member of the Lithuanian Club of Bentleyville. Surviving are a brother, George Davis Jr. of Lighthouse Point, Fla.; two sisters, Mary Marinese of Redford, Mich. and Romaine Karnack of Bentleyville; a niece, two nephews and a grandniece.
