Irene Louise Fetcko Hughes, 55, of Charlotte, N.C., died Tuesday, February 10, 1998, in Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte. Mrs. Hughes was a graduate of Presbyterian School of Nursing, Pittsburgh, and was a retired registered nurse. Selected as the Multiple Sclerosis Volunteer of the Year in 1996, she was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, where she served on the Hope and Disability Committee. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband, Joe; three sons, Joe of Lilburn, Ga., Bob of Andover, Mass., and Kevin of Floral Park, N.Y.; a daughter, Kyra of Charlotte; a granddaughter, Rachel; and a brother, William Fetcko of Washington.
