Alice N. Lyle, 94, of Broad Street, Washington, died at 7:20 a.m. Friday, February 13, 1998, in Washington Hospital following an 18-month illness. Mrs. Lyle was a homemaker, attended the Christian Church of North America and was a member of AARP. On March 2, 1921, she married Wray Lyle, who died September 6, 1990. Surviving are two sons, Merle C. Lyle of Cleveland, Ohio, and John H. Lyle of Burgettstown; four daughters, Esther E. Gump, Stella M. Walker and Doris Iseman, all of Washington and Elizabeth Mitchell of Canonsburg; a sister, Gladys Nalley of Hagerstown, Md.; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Deceased are a son, Raymond R. Lyle; a daughter, Florence A. Tush; a brother, Harry Risher; two sisters, Helen Grieser and Viola Skeen; and a great-grandson, Robert Mitchell III.
