Gladys Marie Majors McCloskey, 73, of Seminole Avenue, Washington, died at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 13, 1998, in Washington Hospital following a lengthy illness. Mrs. McCloskey was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, attended Washington High School and was a member of CANSUBMOUNT (Cancer Survivors Association of Washington Hospital) Prior to her retirement, she was employed at RCA and Federal Paperboard. She enjoyed sewing and crafts. On August 31, 1942, in Morgantown, W.Va, she married Walter R. McCloskey, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Walter R. McCloskey Jr. of Warren, Ohio; two daughters, Annetta M. Keranko and Mary Kathleen Standiford, both of Washington; two sisters, Alice Hartley of Wellsburg, W.Va., and Opal Hazlett Closser of Largo, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Ronald and Donald McCloskey, Eric and Adam Keranko, Emily Ann, Andrew J. and Hillary M. Standiford; three great-grandchildren; and 10 nieces and nephews. Deceased are a brother, Hugh D. Majors; and a sister, Iris Nelson.
