Donald L. Hughes, 91, of Waynesburg R.D.1, died at 8:37 p.m. Sunday, February 15, 1998, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg, following a brief illness. Mr. Hughes lived most of his life in Greene County and was a member of New Freeport Baptist Church. He worked for the former Peoples Natural Gas Co. as a gas driller, retiring in 1970. Surviving are four daughters, Betty Hudson of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Lesetta Adamson of Waynesburg R.D.1, Thelma Lemmon of Uniontown and Donna St. Clair of West Farmington, Ohio; two sons, Leo "Bud" Hughes of Glenmoore and James L. Hughes of Washington; 23 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Delpha H. Thomas of Waynesburg; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are his wife, Mildred Fonner Hughes, who died March 21, 1967; three brzothers, John, A.R. "Ted" and Clarence J.
