Retta Jane Walker, 64, of West Middlesex, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday, February 16, 1998,in Horizon Health Care-Shenango Valley Campus, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Walker retired as a school nurse in the West Middlesex School District in August 1977. Prior to that she had been a nurse at both the former Sharon General Hospital (now called Sharon Regional Health Systems) and the former Farrell Osteopathic Hospital (now called Horizon Health Systems-Shenago Valley Campus). She also worked for two local physician practices. She was a member of the Pennsylvania State Education and The West Middlesex Education Associations. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband, John M. Walker; a daughter, Bobbi Sue Greenburg of West Middlesex; a granddaughter; a sister, Lois Kirk of Mooresville, N.C.; and a brother, William L. Smith of Bentleyville.
