Michael "Suey" Stefanik, 82, of Circle Street, Mather, died Tuesday, February 17, 1998, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. Mr. Stefanik lived in Mather since 1927, and was a retired coal miner with Mather Colleries and Humphrey No. 7, Maidsville, W.Va. He was a member of United Mine Workers of America, Local 1058, Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company, and a former trustee of the company and treasurer of the Croation Fraternal Union 633, Mather. On April 18, 1938, he married Anna Vishak, who survives. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Ray Diamond III and Sherri Poling; two great-grandchildren; a brother, John Stefanik of Clarksville R.D.1; and two sisters, Margaret Stefanik of Mather and Elizabeth Sibnick of Encino, Calif. Deceased are two daughters, Patricia Diamond and a daughter who died in infancy; two great-grandchildren, Dale M. and Summer Lynn Poling; a brother, Joseph Stefanik; and two sisters, Pauline Cipcic and Sister Mary Louise.
