Samuel R. Price, 83, of Prosperity, died Saturday, January 31, 1998, in the Washington Hospital emergency room. He was a member of Old Concord Presbyterian Church. During World War II, Mr. Price served as a private first class in the European Theater. He was a rifleman with the 1256th Engineers and received the Good Conduct Medal for his service. He was a heavy equipment operator with Operating Engineers Local 66. He enjoyed farming. On August 21, 1937, in Wheeling, W.Va., he married Georgie L. Ealy, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Robert and Eddie Price, both of Prosperity and George Price of Claysville; two daughters, Connie Moneta of Greensburg and Margie Barrett of Independence Township; a brother, Rila Price of Ravenna, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son, Larry Price; a daughter, Sara Leota Price, who died in infancy; a brother, Charles F.
