Donald E. Faust, 59, of Strabane, died Saturday, January 31, 1998, in Washington Hospital following a lengthy illness. Mr. Faust lived most of his life in the Canonsburg and Strabane area. He was Catholic. He was a member of the VFW Post 553 of Strabane, the American Legion Post 902 of Houston, and the Slovak Club of Canonsburg. He had served with U.S. Navy aboard the USS Freemont. Mr. Faust was employed at Barr Hardware in Canonsburg for the past nine years. On January 18, 1960, he married Valerie D. Maverich, who died November 11, 1993. Surviving are a daughter, Deborah L. Frazier of Strabane; three sons, Donald Faust Jr. and Michael Faust, both of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Eric Faust of Strabane; and four grandchildren, Heather Frazier and Vincent, Aliscia and Brittany Faust.
