Joan D. Bridges, 61, of Maple Terrace View, Washington, died Friday, February 20, 1998, in Washington Hospital. Mrs. Bridges was a factory worker for a shoe factory in New Hampshire until her retirement in 1968. She attended Trinity High School and was a member of The Lords Church of Washington. She enjoyed puzzles, crocheting and singing in the church choir. Surviving, in addition to her father, are a son, Nathaniel "Butch" Bridges of Washington; three daughters, Doris Ann Bridges of Saginaw, Mich., Joan D. Hudson of Pittsburgh and Falisha K. Bridges of Washington; a brother, Alvin Wilkerson of Atlanta, Ga.; three sisters, Sandra Trent of Pittsburgh, Vanzela Smith and Virginia Dockery, both of Washington; three grandchildren, Dana Wilson, Jessica Bridges and Nathaniel Bridges; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
