Guy Vernon Courtwright, 62, of Elm Grove, La., died Wednesday, February 18, 1998, in a Shreveport, La., hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Courtwright lived his early life in Greene County and had resided for the past 13 years in Louisiana. He was employed as a construction worker, truck driver, steel mill worker in Ohio and other areas. On November 14, 1985, in Louisiana, he married Doris Carter, who survives. Also surviving are seven children from a previous marriage; two brothers, Donald Courtwright of Sebring, Ohio, and Mack Courtwright of Cleveland, Ohio; four sisters, Gerry Schaefer of Chambersburg, Sadie Marshall and Betty Lou Marshall of Alliance, Ohio, and Suann Doutt of Waynesburg. Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a brother, James; and a sister, Virginia. A memorial service will be held Saturday morning in Louisiana.
