Ruth E. Wilson Rose McMasters, 82, of 1198 West Wylie Avenue, Washington, died at 12:28 a.m. Monday, February 23, 1998, in Kade Nursing Home, Washington, following a lengthy illness. Mrs. McMasters was a member of West Union Presbyterian Church. She worked for Waynesburg Restaurant as a waitress for several years, later worked as a seamstress for Greenway Manufacturing and as a cook for Waynesburg College, all in Waynesburg, before owning and operating the Lunch Room Restaurant in Sycamore. She also worked with and taught ceramics for several years. Her first husband, Cecil Rose, died July 27, 1959, and her second husband, Clarence M. McMasters, died July 29, 1976. Surviving are a daughter, Judy M. Fonner of Prosperity; two sons, James A. Rose of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Charles E. Rose of Washington; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; a stepdaughter, Dorothy Baker of Silver Springs, Md.; and several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family.
