The Rev. Charles A. Bails, 61, of West Alexander, died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 1998, at home. Rev. Bails was a member of Chartiers Hill United Presbyterian Church and had attended Canonsburg High School. He was a clergyman and a trucker employed by Suwak Trucking, and had been formerly employed at Canonsburg Pottery. He was a member of Christian Outreach and various religious-charitable organizations and a member of the National Rifle Association. Surviving are two sons, Robert Bails of Claysville and Joseph Bails of Prosperity; two daughters, Kandee Kovatch of Claysville and Lori Roach of Canonsburg; three brothers, Jim and Rocky Bails, both of Canonsburg and Bill Carter of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a sister, Rita Smiddle of Canonsburg; 10 grandchildren, Michael, Nathan and Stephen Miller, Chelsee and Haylee Kraushaar, Jaclyn and Steven Roach, and Megan, Robert and Samuel Bails.
