Katherine "Kay" Menendez, 78, of 825 McKean Avenue, Donora, died Monday, February 2, 1998, in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Church in Donora, Donora Senior Citizens, the Democratic Women's Club and Donora AARP. Mrs. Menendez, along with her late husband, Joseph R. Menendez, operated Ringside Bar in Donora for many years. Surviving are a son, Joseph H. Menendez of Louisville, Ky.; one sister, Mary Suski of Donora; two brothers, Angel "Rusty" Alvarez of Virginia Beach, Va., and Manuel "Rusty" Alvarez of West Newton; and three grandchildren, Matthew J., Kelly and Emmy Menendez.
