John "Siz" Anthony, 81, of Canonsburg, died Monday, February 2, 1998, at Allegheny University Hospitals, Canonsburg. Mr. Anthony was a lifelong resident of Canonsburg and a member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Canonsburg. He was a 1934 graduate of Canonsburg High School where he excelled in many sports, including baseball, football and basketball. He was a member of the Senior Citizen Center of Canonsburg and was formerly employed at Fort Pitt Bridge Works in Canonsburg as a layouter, retiring in 1978. Surviving are his wife, Viola Kozar Anthony; a sister, Mary Anthony of Canonsburg; one brother, Dr. William "Butch" Anthony of Nags Head, N.C.; and several nieces.
